Jarie Saad Ruddy is a lifelong Detroiter, art educator, and mixed media artist. Her collage work creates a visual narrative of her family before and after their immigration to America. It is informed by the places they left, Lebanon and Sicily, and the homes they made in Detroit. Materials, images, art historical references, and religious iconography are layered to construct imagined possibilities that sit between memory, migration, and material culture. She has been included in several recent exhibits including The Scarab Club, The Michigan Fine Arts Competition, and the Detroit Artists Market, where she has been chosen to be part of their Featured Artists Program for 2026.
